Description
Safety Cap for your Whirlpool stove igniters. Our stove activates all 4 igniters when pressing any igniter. To eliminate accidentally triggering them when setting things on the stove top, I designed these caps. It also helps identify which burner is on when the cap is removed and can be a helpful visual aid if the cap is off that your burner may still be on. These caps can also save you from getting a good shock when cleaning the stove.
Ideally, these caps should be printed in ASA or any filament you think can stand up to accidentally bumping into it with something hot. My initial test shown in the photos used PLA, but we set a cookie sheet on the stove and bumped the cap with it melting the top (as you can see in the picture.
This model uses 0.6mm walls, designed to be printed with a 0.6mm nozzle. I have another model that uses two perimeters at 1.2mm thick that's stiffer, but this was designed for a faster print.
Vase Mode for speed.
0.6mm Nozzle - 0.4 is quite thin and flimsy. You should use my other model that uses a 1.2mm thick wall and use 3 perimeters if using a 0.4mm nozzle.
