Description
I was looking for a solution to hold my phone in place while I watch videos while eating or before going to sleep. Holding the phone in the air can be tiring.
I designed it in multiple parts to make it easy to print without support. Some printers may struggle with the thigh tolerance. OpenSCAD files available on demand.
I did multiple iterations on the ball joint. When I print it bigger, it breaks during assembly / handling. At current scale, it require strength to assemble and careful handling for the first few movements. I designed the ball joint with 0 tolerance to hold the phone in place after handling, but it's not working well. After multiple uses, the ball joint become loose. I'm looking for alternative.
[15-11-2021] I created an OpenSCAD ball joint. I should update this project using it: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5136665
