Description

When introducing Newton's laws in physics, defining forces acting on an object on an inclined plane and drawing free-body diagrams are important skills. Students often struggle with the correct angles. This hands-on model demonstrates how the incline and the angle from the surface normal are related.

The model has three parts – base, ramp, and gravity vector. This teaching/learning aid uses magnets to stick to your whiteboard.

The incline model requires two 11mm x 4mm bearings (5mm inner diameter), three 6mm x 2mm magnets, and one M4 nut (to give the gravity vector weight).

Print all parts with flat side on the plate and print using supports on the build plate. Place the bearings and magnets after printing. I changed filament colors several times to highlight the angle markings, ramp, and the vectors.
