Design Motivation
So looking online for a mount for my drybox humidity sensor I was astonished that a lot of them used bolts to mount them and drilled holes through the dry box. Since this would introduce a possible path for moisture to enter the dry box or need messy/stinky silicone to seal the holes, I decided to design my own.
The Sensor
The sensor is just your usual Amazon humidity and temperature sensor with a 41 mm mounting diameter.
They come in white and black and are sold by many different companies. Here is an example:
Mounting
Depending on your dry box material you will need a strong double-sided tape. I can highly recommend those from 3M. Just apply the tape to the guy's head and trim off the excess. You can use the trimmings to apply to his feet as well to he doesn't move. You may also need to lightly sand the surface of the dry box in order to get it to stick properly.
Enjoy!
