Simple Camera Mount for Logitech C920 and Ender 3 Pro

This is an easy to print camera mount for a Logitech C920 (may work for other camera models that have the same bolt size) so it can be mounted from the front of an Ender 3 Pro.

The camera screw was remixed from
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:578514
and a notch was added onto its side so it can be properly positioned inside of the base.

Note: The camera screw may be a bit too wide if printed at full scale and so the default screw that comes with camera_mount.stl has been scaled down, diameter-wise by 2%. This reduced screw size worked for me.

STL Descriptions:

• camera_mount.stl
  Here's everything you need to make the mount. Includes the base and a 2% reduced size screw. Tip: print at 0.24mm layer height for all layers, including first layer

• camera_base_only.stl
  This is only the base

• camera_mount_screw_only_0.98size.stl
  This is only the screw at 2% reduced size. It will take some work to get it in but it will most likely fit. Try camera_mount_screw_only_1.0size.stl if this size was too loose.

• camera_mount_screw_only_1.0size.stl
  This is only the screw at full size. Tip: Don't use this one if you printed the base at 0.24 mm. Might work with smaller layer heights.

Assembly and Installation:

Print out both the base and the screw.

Place the screw into the bottom of your Logitech C920 camera. Twist it in until you have the notch facing to the back of the camera in a snug position (to the back means opposite from where the camera lens points).

Place the screw into the base. Press slowly downward until the screw is secure into the base.

Place the base onto the front of your Ender 3 Pro. (See the photos above for guidance)

Another Tip: If you print this out with PLA and you twist the screw too hard, there's a chance that the screw will break. If it does, it's ok. Stab the broken screw part with your plastic cutters and then twist it out.

Print instructions

To avoid significant wearing over time on the mount's notches, I highly recommend printing this mount with PETG or perhaps even ABS. You want to make sure that this mount is strong.
