I needed a way to mount the Stealthburner with an original Bondtech LGX to my CR10 S5. I found this Afterburner adapter on thingiverse and remixed it to fit my needs (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4638150). The LGX adapter came from the Voron Discord. Due to the space limitations and existing mounting holes on the CR10 mounting plate the adapter must be assembled in order.
- Add four M3x5x4 threaded inserts to the mounting plate (2 on front, 1 on side, 1 on back) and LGX adapter (2 on front, 2 on back).
- Attached LGX adapter to the LGX using the screw holes in the front of the adapter and on the underside using the M3 screws supplied in the LGX kit.
- Attach the mounting plate to the LGX adapter on the back side under the extruder motor using M3x10 screws.
- Using the M3 button head screws from the original Ender toolhead, attach the mounting plate to the metal bracket. Two screws through the front of the mounting plate and one through the back of the metal bracket between the 3 v-wheels.
- Add 2 more button head screws to the front mounting plate under the LGX. These will be used to attach the Voron Stealthburner Hotend mount.
- All remaining steps align with the Voron Stealthburn instructions.
I opted to use CANbus in order to minimize the number of wires running to the tool head. Suitable mounts can be found at the following links:
