Description

Today I present to you portable bidet as a more eco friendly toilet paper replacement. In times of a global toilet paper crysis it might be finally time to switch over to what I think is the superior solution: Zero waste, no need to panic buy and a fresh feeling afterwards. There is a reason it is used by many cultures all over the world.

Bonus: A portable bidet is even more useful for women to clean up during their period.

Important: This bidet is designed primarly as an emergency replacement for toilet paper during the COVID-19 pandemic and for people who want to try it out. If you want to use this regularly, I would recommend buying a commercial bidet, mostly as it is easier to clean.

Changelog:
v2: thinner walls, as big walls were not necessary with petg, faster printing time, bigger screw on cap (more stable), 25% less filament

Usage:

  • fill a PET bottle with lukewarm water (should fit most bottles, 500ml should be enough)
  • spray your private parts with the water by pressing the PET bottle while sitting on toilet
  • if you want, you may use either hand or wet washing mitt to clean private parts
  • dry with towel
  • thoroughly clean your hands and washing mitt, if used

I recommend to watch this video for the right usage (not mine): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TWjJgi7QkEo

Cleaning:

  • Use warm water and soap to clean
  • It is possible to desinfect using Isopropanol if printed out of PETG
  • As there are concearns about bacteria growth between layer lines, you should only use plain water and replace your bidet regularly
  • If you use the TPU seal, you should remove it for cleaning

Print instructions

Note: The TPU seal is not really needed if you tighten the bidet enough. I had no leaking with both PLA and PETG so far.

Edit: for v2 use 2 perimeters with .4 nozzle

  • As PLA is biodegradable, it is strongly recommended to print this out of PETG
  • Use 3 perimeters for 0.4mm nozzle or 2 perimeters for 0.5mm nozzle
  • 0.15 - 0.2mm layer height
  • brim recommended
  • no support needed
  • Clean with warm water and soap before first use
  • I printed the TPU seal with 40% infill to make it more stiff (needed for non standard bottles)
