Kitchen hooks

I wan unhappy with suction-type kitchen hooks, and I wanted a simple, strong unit that I could install without having to drill into the tiles.

I found many designs of kitchen style hooks, but I thought most of them lacked strength due to print orientation, so I designed my own.

The bar and hooks print separately, allowing the hooks to be printed strong. The hooks clip into the back of the bar snugly, us a little glue if you want to. A small tap with a rubber hammer helps too!

There are three shallow recesses in the back of the bar for fitting a small piece of double-sided sticky tape. I use the silicon style stuff that is popular at the moment, the thick clear gooey tape that is normally advertised holding a brick to something :) The recess is so the bar sits closer to the wall. I imagine a blob hot hot-melt glue would do the same job.

Bar is 300mm long and I printed it diagonally on the print-bed. Set the infill angle to 0 degrees to compensate for the print angle. I used 3 shells for the bar and 4 for the hooks. Infiltration is unimportant, use what you like.

Print the parts, insert the hooks, add the tape and secure it to the wall.
