VESA Turkey Shelf for LG TV

VESA mount shelf to allow Christmas Turkey to sit on top of the TV.

It has been Christmas tradition for our plush turkey to sit on top of the TV for over seventeen years. This was easy to achieve in the days of flat topped CRT screens, then not too difficult to perch the turkey on top of the thicker old LCD screens that replaced CRT TVs, however with the thinner modern TV this has become too tricky. The turkey keeps falling off the thin top edge when its balanced there.

To solve this problem I've sketched this basic shelf arrangement up that fits to the M5 bolt holes provided by the rear VESA mount on the TV. This provides just enough shelf width on top of the TV or the turkey. The turkey is only 85g so the shelf does not require much strength to support the load.

You need two M5 bolts to screw into the TV.

The shelf is 175mm from the VESA screws in height.

The shelf is 54mm wide.
