Description
This is an alternative hotend housing for the Anycubic i3 Mega-S.
It is mostly based on the silent hotend design by mileshkin but I removed the mounting location for the original parts cooler fan on the left side and put air vents on that side instead.
Since this means that there is no parts cooler inside the hotend anymore an external cooler must be used with this design.
A matching 5015 parts cooler fan duct that I designed can be found here: https://www.printables.com/model/268430-anycubic-i3-mega-s-5015-dual-side-fan-duct
For assembling the hotend housing 6x m2x8 countersunk screws and 4x m3 nuts are needed.
I chose to not use the "filament pin" method from the original design since I found that it didn't really work all too well and resulted in a really unstable assembly.
Screwing the housing together properly just made it much more sturdy.
I also created a small fan guide for the internal 40mm hotend fan.
It improves hotend cooling by forcing the airflow through the heatsink.
