Scale mail (Tri-mail)

With pieces for five sided or six sided patterns this scale mail can be assembled into more spherical shapes. Such as dodecahedron (D12), icosahedron (D20), or truncated icosahedron (football/soccer ball).

The best method to attach the segments together would be to use a 3D pen. If you don't have one you can cut the loop of one segment carefully and glue the segments together.

Note:

The tolerance on these parts is a bit loose, this makes the assembly more flexible but has the side effect of larger gaps between the plates. To affect that you can change the external compensation settings for dimension adjustment in your slicer settings.
