Description

This is a replacement end cap to go on the top of the vertical poles, supporting the top ring which holds the safety net.

Many of my original brackets snapped off after a few years so I designed this replacement as EXIT will not sell you the caps alone.  See photos 4 and 5 for the failure of the original parts.

It must be printed lying on it's side so that you have maximum lateral strength.   I would strongly recommend to also align the upper slot vertically so no support is needed there.
See the last photo for best orientation.
The support is a bit of a pain to get out but it is worth it to avoid the inner spike shearing off along the layer lines.

Even though it is outdoors, I print these in PLA.  After a whole summer in 40C weather, there is no sign at all of degradation.  This is due to them being very thick walled.  You could print them in ASA etc but I have found PLA is just fine.

I designed it in TinkerCAD
