Description
Styled after the Prusa test logo after my wife said she didn't want a lever/switch clean/dirty magnet just a clean magnet only.
What I should have done is modeled a binder clip magnet with a post-it note that said clean on it... Might do that out of spite after printing and assembling one.
Takes 4x 8mm Wide x 3mm tall magnets, glued in the bottom. I was going to design it so the magnets were not visible and have a step in the g-code to insert them, but that would make the print 7mm thick in order to hide the magnets (assuming 1mm bottom shell and 1mm top shell).
Print in PLA or PETG .4mm nozzle, .2mm layer, 20% infill.
v1.1 resized magnet holes to 8.5mm x 3mm in Tinkercad. After printing, they measure 7.75mm. Magnets are 8.1mm.
v1.2 resized magnet holes to 8.88mm based on math if 8.5 = 7.75, what does 8.1 = x? That was 8.883871
v2.0 resized magnet holes to 8.31mm x 3.13mm and created voids inside the stl. You'll want to do a color change before the 1st layer of infill closes off the magnet spaces, keeping the same color (or pause/resume). For me with a .6 nozzle and .2mm layer height, it was at layer 21 (4.2mm). The magnets I have measured at 8mm x 2.75mm. I also increased the thickness of the block to 5mm from 4mm. All of this because I got tired of having to glue the magnets in again.
