Outdoor Hue Switch V1

This model served me well for about 1.5 years outdoors in direct Sun light at 30+ C temperatures, heavy rain and freezing.

Printed in PETG at 0.20mm with a 0.40mm nozzle it is flexible enough to give you feedback of the button press and with a light enough colour filament you will even see the LED in the switch light up. The design can be printed multicolour (load holder-multicolor.stl and holder-text.stl together) or as a single colour/manual colour swap with holder.stl (see the 3mf as an example).  Increasing the layer height might break water resistance since there might not be enough layers to guarantee a solid surface.

I put some electric tape on the sides to create a tight fit and in the hope to keep water out (it appears to work just great).

The screw holes are for 3mm screws (use the openscad file to customize if needed).

Even if the switch would fail every couple of years, you can get one for about 15 EUR, where real outdoor designs are easily 50+ EUR. Keep in mind that the Hue switch wasn't designed for outdoor use.
