This is an alicorn, based on the body of the Flex-Unicorn by Benchy4Life and the pegasus wings by AndresMF, but heavily modified.
BODY
- The body supports the wings with a slot-and-tab design inspired by Benchy4Life's dragon with wings.
- The mane, muzzle, legs, and tail are shaped in a low-poly style, and with feet that remain slightly wider for stability.
WINGS
Starting with AndresMF's wing, I heavily modified it:
- Added tabs to fit into the body, increased the slope to get the feathery texture at the tips and reduced the size to be proportional to the body.
- The wing flex was fine-tuned to maintain a raised posture. The hinges were thickened and walls brought closer together. The original hung down in a disappointing limp position that looked like if Eeyore had wings.
I biased the tolerances on the tighter side, so the wings seem too stiff, you may want to shave / sand the corners to create a slight bevel at the joints.
OTHER
- My print setup is at the pretty vanilla defaults for Ender line with a 0.4 nozzle.
- The tabs on the wings will need supports, but I've reduced the tab height so there's some tolerance in fitting them into the slot, even if the support doesn't cleanly come off.
- Supports are needed for the legs. I've also included a file with the original blocky body with wing slots, if you prefer that.
- If you want to achieve a certain wing position, firmly but carefully press them into the angle you want. It's likely that the hinges will start to split - This is OK, and actually the tension of the pin against the hinge's outer knuckle should keep the wings in static positions. At least, it works out for me.
