Description

A monitor stand that fits ACER sized monitors like the X193w.  It will likely work with any monitor between 31mm and 29mm thick.  It keeps the monitor 130mm off of the surface of the desk and raked about 10 degrees back.  It is extremely stable with left right and forward and back nudges.  It also provides a nice space under the monitor for things, perhaps even your computer if it s small enough.

In the sample photo shown, you'll notice that the monitor is kept upside down and by software the image is rotated right way round.

I've printed this with 0.4mm nozzle, 5 perimeter walls, 20% infill and no top and bottom layers for the A frame portion.  You get a kind of see through effect with this, surface imperfections hidden that way, and it cuts the printing time significantly.

The horizontal beam, is optional but with it, stability is even more significant and dare I say, un-matched.  When you place the monitor in the slot, the beam will be locked in place.

For the beam, I'd also printed with 5 perimeter walls, 3 layers top and bottom.  Print two pieces of the beam and glue them together facing each other to form the full beam.

If you'd like stacked monitors, check out “Vesa 100x100 Monitor mount system for Ikea Drain Pipes” in order to use this A-Frame Stand in conjunction with VESA mount system.

- Added Big A size, about 80mm higher.  In printing this version, I'd noted that it is stiffer (still plenty stiff any angle with 14% infill) with the cross-hatch pattern being at 45% to horizontal.
