Voron 2.4r2 300 Noctua Fan Side Skirts with Honeycomb Mesh.

These are highly modified skirts from the original Voron2.4r2 CAD drawings to incorporate honeycomb mesh behind the original hexagon skirt design. This mesh is created by utilizing the Slicer's capability to specify a part of an object to print without top and bottom layers, just the honeycomb infill and 4 perimeters.

I have great results using 15 and 20% honeycomb infills. I still use 4 perimeters for the honeycomb so the walls blend nicely with the rest of the object. Also, you have to choose “Fill angle” 0 or 90 from the “Print Settings” - “Infill” PRUSASlicer tab.

Parts required

• 8 x M3 x 35mm SHCS
• 12 x M3 Heat Thread Inserts
• 4 x M3 x 12mm BHSC

NOTES:

• The Fan side skirt is custom designed to utilize Noctua NF-A6x25 (60x25mm) fans, which are larger than the specified BOM fans. I have not tested it how will fit/work with other fans.
• The 3mf files are sliced using PrusaSlicer 2.5.0.
• The gcode files are generated for using a PRUSA MK3S+ and PLA filament.
• The 3mf and gcode files include a M600 (Filament Change) to change colors between the grill and the main body; see images. If you want to print everything in one color just execute a “Resume” after the filament change pause was issued.
