Description
This is a baseplate for the Gridfinity modular storage system by Zack Freedman
that fits in a L-Boxx Mini organizer box.
It's based on the L-Boxx Mini inner volume model that can be used to make custom L-Boxx Mini inlays that fit perfectly.
The L-Boxx Mini is part of the L-Boxx system and is available from Bosch and BS Systems and can be purchased from Amazon and various other stores.
The box fits 5x3 grid units and 6 vertical units. It's a tight fit as the box's inner vertical height is 44mm and 6 units are 45.75mm tall. However, the lid closes just fine with a full box.
The L-Boxx Mini's inner volume isn't entirely symmetrical or perpendicular, which is why the grid inlay only fits one way and can not be flipped or mirrored.
Print using the regular Gridfinity recommendations. Everything up to a 0.6mm nozzle should work fine.
For smaller printers, where the full baseplate doesn't fit on the print bed, you can download the split version where each part should comfortably fit on a 180x180 bed.
Thanks Rolf for suggesting this!
I'd recommend downloading the pre-made split version instead of splitting the full-size plate yourself in the slicer because the L-Boxx Mini isn't entirely symmetrical and perpendicular. The split version has been split along the Gridfinity grid lines. Make sure to print one left and one right model. You can not fit two of one half or mirror the models.
I created this with the help of the very useful Onshape Library by Braden Eliason, from which I was able to copy dimensions to create the grid.
