Ender 3 / CR-10 5-point M4 Mounting System

EDIT: Added Version 2 as the first version didn't have the mounting points spaced out enough for the stock hotend assembly. (Also added my Freecad Template for anyone to make other mounts that are compatible.)

This is a custom 5-point mounting system for my CR-10 and Ender-3 printers. I wanted a way of switching out the hotend assembly and other tools which wouldn't need me to remove the whole carriage assembly each time and this is my solution.

There was one other solution which used a quick release latch above the carriage, but I needed to have access to that space since I also wanted to keep my direct drive setup with the motor on top intact.

This will require a set of M4 nuts and bolts. It allows for 5 points to screw in to secure your mounts.

All parts should be easily printable without supports. There are two versions of the modular carriage adapter. I recommend printing sacrificial layer version and using a drill to drill out the single sacrificial layer as it allows for a flatter surface around the bolts and provides more area to grip.
