GoPro magnetic mount quick swap set (updated)

I have been using this mount system for  a while and I find it very practical, because its easy to move the camera around.

It is compatible with all latest GoPro models 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11.

I have made this out of PETG, 0.2mm resolution, but it breaks by stronger impact (still very much usable). Then re-printed it out of PC, which worked for me so far (however, print PC without cooling, otherwise the layer adhesion is not strong enough).

There are 4 pieces/models in this set (see stl files):

• camera piece (updated version v2: bolt moved to the other side for better battery access)
• generic mount piece (couples magnetically to the cam side)
• generic mount piece with slip guard with a very strong coupling (requires supports and possibly some finishing touches after printing). It is more difficult to print this, but more secure hold.
• neck piece for chest mount (invisible under a t-shirt) (not for sports)

Place in the corners 4 pieces of 10mm x 3mm disc neodymium magnets. When inserting the magnets pay attention to the polarity. Preferably place all with the same polarity facing one way for the camera side and the other way for the other pieces. These magnets are snapping together quite wildly, handle with care (they'll break). Glue in the magnets with a thin layer of glue. Super-glue (cyanoacrylate) will work. I painted the magnets black after gluing, but that is not required.

The magnetic coupling is strong, but could get loose, so use it on your own risk.

The idea of this design based on the GoPro Snap mount. For better/safer results, buy that.

Printing suggestions:

• Increase the number of side walls in the printing settings to 6. This will lead to a 100% infill for the mounting ears. Alternatively print with 100% infill
• If you ha adhesion issues, use a brim, or a raft
