Description
It had been requested that a model without the “supports” be uploaded. Grimlock_3D said he did, but I could not ever find it. So…, using NetFabb 2023, I removed them, and put the results here.
I tried to print the file Grimlock_3D had, but inevitablably, while the front leg (prancing) support came off ok, the back leg (especially the lower part) would break instead of the “Support” which was very solid. After three (3) tries, I decided to remix. This is the results.
I also wanted to make a Santa with Sleigh and reindeer, so added a “hook” through which is inserted a small metal ring to link the deer with and Sleigh together with ribbon.
Used “add part” in Prusaslicer (2.5.0) to add a sphere (8mm) for Rudolph's nose (painted red with silver glitter.) Also added a second part for the base to give the feet more stability. Used a slab (1mm thick) then cut to oval (post production). Rudolph is sized at 160mm high versus the other eight at 200mm. Printed at 130% speed in Prusament Mystic Brown (versus gray for other deer.)
Supports were added using the Sphere tool of Paint. They came off easily and clearly…much better than original version.
