Often your SodaStream bottle will have some CO2 remaining near the end of it's use. You can use this model to put that CO2 to use as a air duster.
*** Caution - The air in the CO2 canister is high pressure. Use this model at your own risk ***
*** Caution - Always wear eye protection ***
This version of the Soda Stream Air Gun requires the following.
- Two 2.4mm pins (I used the metal from two rivets)
- A Dust Blaster 3mm tube
- Teflon Tape (Optional)
Instructions
- Print the lever model on it's side
- Print the model that attaches to the canister upside down with support
- Clean up the support and make sure that the support has been removed from all holes
- Ensure that the parts fit together and move freely
- Cut one pin to be used to release the CO2. Warning making the pin too long will release too much gas. Use a length that is safe.
- Cut another pin to be used to connect the lever with the base ~38mm
- Place the pin in the hole used to release the gas. Make sure that it moves freely
- Assemble the lever and the base and place the pivot pin through the two parts. You may need to use a hammer
- Apply the Teflon Tape if you want a tighter seal (Optional)
- Screw the assembled air gun on to the CO2 Soda Stream bottle
- Place the Dust Blaster tube in the hole that the air will flow through
- The air gun is now ready to use
- Engage the lever to release the gas. The spring in the CO2 bottle should push the pin back up when the lever is released
- Be careful the gas is highly pressurized!
Printing
- .2mm layer height
- .4mm nozzel
- 100% infill
- Requires support
Happy Dusting
