#ObXidiCorn – Revo (ObXidian) Nozzle Storage - 3D Unicorn

How do E3D nozzles manage to print all the nice colors? The secret is finally lifted — it’s unicorns and rainbows!
 

I present:

the #ObXidiCorn

The ObXidiCorn is E3D's sticker motive I designed for the new hardened ObXidian nozzles for the Revo quick change system. 

This is the 3D sculpted version of the motive.
It has been created as a fun nozzle storage solution for all 4 nozzles of the kit.

CAUTION: Be careful not to bend the stem or to damage the thread of the nozzles when inserting them into the holes!

01 ObXidiCorn – The Original version for high quality printing:

Print this version scaled at 100% with a thin layer height (.05). Otherwise the ObXidian logo on the unicorn's belly will not turn out very good. 4 nozzles with a diameter of about 4mm at the stem can be stored.

02 ObXidiCorn – no text – 100percent – normal print:

This version also should be printed at 100% scale but can use coarser layer heights (~.2) because there is no ObXidian logo on the unicorn's belly. You can use this version when you have a Revo kit but no ObXidian nozzles.

03 ObXidiCorn – scalable with logo – no holes – HQ print:

Scale the ObXidiCorn to the size of your own liking. After scaling add the 4mm nozzle holes as a negative volume and place them where you want them (PrusaSlicer: right-click on ObXidiCorn > Add negative volume > Load …). Keep in mind that scaling down will influence the legibility of the ObXidian logo on the belly.

04 ObXidiCorn – clean – scalable:

Scale the ObXidiCorn to the size of your own liking. After scaling add the 4mm nozzle holes as a negative volume and place them where you want them (PrusaSlicer: right-click on ObXidiCorn > Add negative volume > Load …). You can use this version when you have a Revo kit but no ObXidian nozzles.

Nozzle holes – negative volume:

Use the “nozzle holes” STL to add custom nozzle storage holes to your ObXidiCorn.
Remember to keep the size at 100% so the nozzles will actually fit.
Alternatively add cylinders with a diameter of 4mm as negative volumes.
(PrusaSlicer: right-click on ObXidiCorn > Add negative volume > Cylinder and scale X and Y to 4mm and place them where you want them)

Print with supports. The underside may still not turn out pretty (steep overhangs). But since you won't see the back/bottom most of the time …
