Description
I designed this project for my brother. He loves Halloween and asked me to create a Viking-style lamp that has a glowing skull. This is what comes out of this idea. I had roughly five months to test the device before publishing it. I can happily say that in this period nothing went wrong with it. It just worked like a charm. Also, I have worked a lot on the documentation, meanwhile.
Here you can see what this thing can actually do.
Features:
Because it is a complex project, I made detailed documentation that contains everything you need to build it from the ground up. This project can be printed with any printer that has the volume for the parts. Personally, I have a Prusa Mini, so I include the configured Prusa Slicer files as well.
Also, I made the whole project available for every maker. This includes mechanical design, custom-made electronics, and software.
Because of the open nature of the project, I included the bare parts without the artwork to make it easily hackable. You can find the exact dimensions of the top part in the documentation to replace the skull with an awesome model. I think it would be awesome with a Stormtrooper helmet as well, for example. I hope it can be used as a base for any kind of glowing lamp project.
💽 You can find the whole project on GitHub.
📒 Also the documentation is hosted by GitHub as well.
Lemme see those remixes!
