Nonet Cup Tray (Folding Design)

Replacement for the previously posted "Ultimate Coffee Tray". Model is simplified: one cupsize in the trays. Model is now universally scalable in slicer.

The design has been thoroughly tested in an office environment through daily use (up to 8 times a day) for 2 full years! Other uses can be at a party or an event.

Fully printable, no mounting hardware required.

The tray is very easy to hold and operate. You always have one free hand, for example for operating the coffee machine or opening a door. The clips have a double function: not only clamping, but also at the bottom your index finger lies around the clip and at the top your thumb clamps over the clip. This prevents shifting. Because the outer cup positions shift backwards when the number of places is expanded, the center of gravity also shifts to the support position. This makes carrying a full tray (9 cups) very stable. (I myself have run up and down a narrow and steep curving staircase with a full tray without spilling...)

The clearance between clips and tray in the central hole is fairly wide. This has been chosen to be easy to assemble and to be able to rotate freely. (construction-technically, this works well in practice) If you want less slack, feel free to "tweak" this by, for example, scaling up the clips in the slicer in X-Y direction very briefly (do not adjust height/length of the clips!).

Info about scaling in your slicer software for other cup sizes is added. It is a PDF-file, you can find it under [Other Files].

p.s. The name for the cupholder derived from the naming of a group of 9, refering to the maximum number of cups you can comfortably hold in one hand.

Added on request single trays (3 positions and 5 positions) for Starbucks Cups. Since they are large, the design has grow bigger. I approached the original as much as possible in the design.

You probably need a little support for the added bottom recess. You can personalize this tray with (different) color clips.

For hot drinks you can print at 100%. For cold drinks (because the cups are even bigger) you need to scale all items to 106,5%. I have placed a pdf under [other files] with further explanation and made a visual representation of how deep each different cup size will stand in the tray.

The minimum bed size for the 3 drinks tray is 220x220mm, 45° rotated. (Can be printed on a Prusa i3 mk3s, without skirts! Scaled for bigger cups 245x245mm is the minimum bedsize. The minimum bed size for the 5 drinks tray is 285x208,5mm. Scaled for bigger cups, the minimum bedsize is 304x222mm.
