Description
I tired this mount by benjibigbro, but it was too low [https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4816601] Thank you benjibigbro for your awesome design. I designed mine from scratch in FreeCad using benjibigbro's idea
Another option is to use this adjustable mount by Gatze. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5237956
The 3D Touch I use is supposed to be 8.2mm away from the nozzle. (+/- 0.2mm). I included a handy 8mm spacer with FreeCad source file. Check the spacer with a caliper after you print it. It needs to be 8mm - 8.4mm for this 3DTouch. If your 3D Touch is different, or if your printer is off a little, you can adjust it in Cura or FreeCAD. It's probably easier to use Cura and Scale Z Only (Uncheck Uniform Scaling) if you need the spacer taller or shorter. The mount was too High on one KP3S, and too Low on another. I designed these mounts so I could adjust the height as needed. Each Hot end / nozzle are a little different. Put the nozzle on the bed just like when you level the bed. So use the spacer to check if the Touch is at the correct height. If it's not, then you can just make a custom mount. It's important that the end of the Touch be at least 8mm away from the nozzle, or it might hit your print. (not the probe, the nose)
*TIP: Start with highest one!(KP3S-3.0-3D-Touch-Mount-Up-1.4mm.stl)* If it's to high you can use washers between the Touch and the Mount so you don't waste your print. If it's too low, it only takes about 14min to print, so customize and re-print** Keep them even they aren't correct. You might need one later if you change anything. If you change your Extruder, Hotend, Heat block, Nozzle, Throat, etc; use the spacer to check your BLTouch height again and adjust your mount as needed.**
I designed these in FreeCad and the source files are included. The measurements are in SpreadSheet (ss), making it easy for you to customize.
