Dremel To Weller Heat Set Insert Press Adapter

The Dremel 220-01 Mini Portable Drill Press is a fantastic foundation for a heat set insert press, as several other users have already made adapters for them:

When I started designing mine, I wanted it to be lower profile, more robust and tool-free easy soldering iron installation/removal.  I picked up the Dremel 220-01 at Home Depot, but you can get them many places online.  I have a Weller 1010NA soldering station and made the adapter to hold that soldering iron specifically, however it may fit others as well.  The slot in the clamp section is large enough for a 5mm cable to slip through.

I also bought some heat set insert press tips from Amazon and it came with 2, 2.5, 3, 4 & 5mm tips.  I have included a model for a tip holder that fits the base and upright from the drill press as well.  

Printing:

My supplied .gcode files are for PETG, .3mm layer height and 100% infill.  You could try PLA for this, but I wanted to avoid heat deflection and PETG is very easy to print.  

Additional Parts:

In addition to the printed parts, you will need a:

(1x) ¼" - 20 x 1-½" Hex Head Bolt

(1x) ¼" - 20 Hex Nut (Bonus Points For A Cap Nut)

(1x) ¼" Washer (Optional But Cuts Down Friction Between Printed Nut & Adapter)

Scale:

I typically design in imperial measurements.  If a part comes in and it is too small, adjust the scale of that part to 2540% and it will be correct.
