Here is my design of a modular camera mount that snaps onto the aluminium extrusions of the MK3/s frame. The provided mounting plate is suitable for the "YI Home Camera 1080p", however I've provided fusion files so you can design a cutom mounting plate for your own camera.
The print contains all required parts and no extra hardware is needed.
All parts are optimized for FDM printing (the threads and the radiuses on the arms) and you'll only need supports on the arm that goes onto the mounting plate.
Assembly guide:
- Print all of the provided .3mf or .gcode files. The provided gcode and .3mf prints all parts as shown in the pictures, however you can individually interchange the parts. Print in PETG for longer durability.
- Connect each arms with a screw and a nut. You might need a bit force if you use them the first time.
- Install the Frame connector only in the bottom right corner or it might interfere with the U-bolts.
- Move the bed up and down and check that.
- Use the cable clips to hide the wires below the arms.
If you're using a different camera, you will find the fusion file to model a custom mounting plate here.
