Description
The "Arizona Rocky Road" bar is a common accessory mounting solution for Jeeps (TJ at least). The bar measures 1.5" by 0.75" and would be easy to replicate yourself.
These clamps provide a way to non-destructively mount things to the bar. The generic one provides a single bolt through the top. Print a clamp and a support block. The support block is a little smaller than the clamp to provide some room to squeeze the clamp down on the bar. All hardware is M4.
I'm also including a modified version that is wider for more stability, which also has mounting ears that match up with Kenwood D700 and D710 radio brackets. This lets you mount a radio head directly without the funky faceted base plate they include. If you prefer the head mounted lower, a “drop bracket” is included which mounts up to the clamp and holds the D7xx head below the bar level.
Print the clamp on its side, but orient the support block with the hole vertical for the cleanest fit. Supports not required for PLA, but probably necessary for ABS.
I also added a little hocky stick tape on the inside of the clamp to give a tighter and softer fit.
