Soldering fume extractor for 120mm fan

This is a simple soldering fume extractor.
It uses an active carbon filter commonly found in hardware stores and used also in your kitchen fume hood or in cat toilets.
The design is quite simple, no need for screws or anything else. All parts snap in place

Additonall equiptment needed:

Carbon filter mat: Size: 165 x 155 x 5 mm
120 x 120 x 25 mm fan -> I ordered a 5V fan with USB connector so I did not need any fancy power supply.

In the STL files you find several files:

Housing_IntegratedGrill.stl

This is the printed file that you can also see in the pictures. The backside grill where the filter mat is palced upon is integrated in the part and needs supports. I recommend using a support blocker for the layers above the grill.

Housing_NoSupport.stl

This is an optimized file so you do not have to use supports. However you have to print 2 grills instead that will be installed into the housing.

Grill_Simple.stl

A simple grill that prints roughly an hour quicker than the honeycomb grill. I would recommed using this one as the support grill for the filter mat.

Grill_Honeycomb.stl

Looks a bit nicer than the simple grill. I would recommed using this one as the visible grill for the front.

Summary:
Either print the integrated grill housing and one additional visible grill OR
print the simple housing without the need for support but where you will need to print two grills.
