Description

A game accurate model of the Spatana stamper from Splatoon, complete with a simplified mini version for use with the Splatoon Figma model, and an alternate TPU belt that transforms it into an actual (somewhat) working stamp. This entire model can be printed all at once on a single 23*23 bed out of standard PLA, though I would recommend using different filament colours instead of opting to paint the model as paint can interfere with the model's moving parts and/or the tolerances needed to make it fit together. The alternate TPU belt can also be printed on a 23*23 bed, though you will have to turn off the skirt in your slicer in order to make it fit. Everything is already oriented as it should be on the printer, and the only printing advice I have is that tree supports are easier to deal over standard supports here. Instructions for both the big and small models are in the images

In addition to white, black, silver, and dark blue filament you will also need:

  • A thin white texta of some sort, preferably paint based. I personally used a 0.7mm white Posca pen
  • Paint or ink in any colour of your choosing. The orange ‘ink’ on the smaller model was done with an orange Posca and the green with some acrylic ink. Waterbased ink such as fountain pen ink does not work.
  • Glue. Superglue works fine, but also so does blu-tack if you don't want to permanently glue the model together
  • A soldering iron or a heat gun, if using the TPU belt. Melted TPU can't be easily cleaned off so be careful with what you use
  • An inkpad, for stamping with the TPU stamper. Scrapbooking sections of craft stores usually have brightly coloured ones for maximum splatoon-iness
