Description

One diadem for every occasion, that was the goal.
This diadem (and accessories) has been tested by my wife and 2 children and has withstood every abuse so far. And if it did fail, I made a redesign to improve/make it child proof :)

What's in the package so far:

  • Diadem itself
    • Has multiple ‘teeth’ to keep itself sturdy in the hair
    • Teeth double as clips for the modular parts.

  • Small (v1) and larger (v2) cat ears (v1 can withstand abuse from 4-year-old)
    • Be creative and make a sad cat by placing the ears lower on the band

  • Tiara
    • Only happy princesses to be seen wearing this.

  • Succubus horns for Halloween
    • My wife was even more evil than usual! ** Looks around and starts running **

Print instructions

  • Diadem
    • Best printed in PETG for elasticity
    • 0.20mm layer height
    • 3 perimeters (4 turns out a bit bigger and some accessories are real snug then)
    • no supports needed

  • Small / large cat ears
    • PLA is best for smoothest finish
    • 0.20 mm layer height
    • 3 perimeters
    • printed face down
    • no supports needed

  • Tiara
    • PLA is best for smoothest finish
    • 0.20 mm layer height
    • 3 perimeters
    • printed face down
    • no supports needed

  • Succubus
    • PLA is best for smoothest finish
    • 0.20 mm layer height
    • 3 perimeters
    • printed face down but might be printable standing up as well. I haven't tried it standing up yet, but it might be cleaner with less support material.
    • supports are definitely needed

Make your own modules

In my trying, I found that you need a clip that holds 3 consecutive teeth to be able to place a module on it. If you use more teeth, the diadem itself is not flexible enough anymore to put it on easily.

To help you make your own modules, I've added a couple of clips I used in my designs. You can just repeat it multiple times if you need more teeth.

Support

If you like this design, give it a like and post your makes! I'm really curious what you can come up with.
I might add extra modules in the future, depending on what requests I get from my children ;)
