Cat Tree Perch Support

My sister's cat, Penny, loves her cat tree. However, the top perch became loose and wobbly over time. The perch sits on top of a post, connected by a single bolt and a metal anchor hammered into the bottom. Unsurprisingly, the particle board around the anchor was weakening due to the strain.

I designed a wide, shallow cone that fits around the post, sized to get a tight compression fit around the carpeted sides. I pushed the support onto the post, screwed the bolt into the anchor, and then secured it with four new screws.
