Weighted Souvenir Coin

Print your personalized souvenir coin (4cm diameter) with a ½" washer inside for additional weight! I included a “blank” coin that you may personalize with your own designs (if you don't want my astronaut logos or just really like smooth coins).

WASHER: ½" with OD 34.91mm (1.37") ID 14.45mm (0.56")

I printed both halves at the same time using ColorFabb bronze-fill PLA, 0.15mm layers with supports. Enable ironing on all top layers to smooth the finish and reduce the sanding required.

Once printed, remove support material and place the washer inside. Use super glue to secure the coin's inset face, hiding the washer inside. 

I finished the bronze-filled PLA sanding by hand with progressively finer modeling sand paper. Do not use a Dremel or polishing wheel – the PLA will get too hot and start to melt.
