Description

A collection of mounts for various Aqara sensors. Will grow as I get more stuff.

  • Prints solid, no supports, large surface down (lockring upside down).

  • Can barely see them if printed in white.

  • Mounts will work with or without tape attached to sensors (it's not in contact).

  • The holes are not intended for screws, but to make it easier to remove tape, although some mounts can fit one.

The Aqara sensors are normally attached with the included foam tape. This tape is supposed to be permanent, so it's very strong and leaves a mess if removed from the wall. It's also awkward to use some of these sensors with Home Assistant, as some settings require a sensor's button to be pressed right before making the change.

To make this more convenient, I made these mounts so I can pull them of the wall when needed (like when changing batteries), while the mount stays on the wall. These mounts are attached with double-sided tape (ideally one that doesn't leave anything behind)

Some of these have a locking ring that makes it more difficult to pull sensors of the mounts, and makes it look a little nicer. These rings are press-fit, so some scaling might be needed to avoid jamming.

-

Above are mounts for two motion sensors Aqara has. Uses the original base, which can spin in the mount, so it has even more adjustment. Sensor is pressed into it.

Above is a mount for the waterleak sensor. Has holes for routing wires through. This sensor supports connecting wires to the sensing pins. It means the sensor can be used with external switches like a limitswitch, reed switch, tilt switch, ect. Tried to use it for a mailbox switch, but the sensor takes 1-2 seconds to send a signal, so the mailman was too fast..

Above is a mount for the one button switch.

This is a mount for the door sensor and magnet. Make sure you mount this in a way where you can actually pull it out, and in a way where it doesn't fly out of the mount if the door is opened fast.

Sensor slides in from the top.

This is a mount for the temp and vibration sensors (same body). The vibration sensor mount does not have the hole.

Sensor slides in from the top.

v1.1

These are “field restrictors" or "tripwire adapters” I guess. These are for narrowing down the field of view of the PIR sensors.

These can be used in something like a doorway with no door, where you can't use a door sensor but want a trigger when passing through.

Prints in two parts. Main body upside down. Funnel tip down. Can be glued if the friction isn't enough.

These do cover the light sensor, but if you need that you can just print in transparent or white and it will still work. (infrared does not pass through materials)

v1.2

  • Made hole on the PIR mount smaller so it can fit screws.

  • Added hole on single button switch mount.

Added a separate model of a rebuild of the Aqara OPPLE wall switch, if you don't like the way it looks like I did. Model is here.

Added two custom bodies for the Aqara door sensor that makes it possible to use other switches and connectors as triggers with them.

Model is here.

v1.3

Added some simple wall holders for the two motion sensors. Can be used with double-sided tape or screws (hole distance is the same. 3.5mm hole)

Made another wallmount for the single button switch where the button slides in from the top.

v1.30001 - PIR wallmount names was swapped

v1.4:

Added a holder for a vibration sensor that is thicker than older versions. The track was increased from 9.25mm to 10.45mm. Not sure if Aqara has increased the thickness of the temp sensor.
