Universal U-Lock Mount

Introducing “The Claw”, a compact and customizable bike lock frame mount. 

Simply insert your lock at a 45° angle and straighten to lock it in place.

Works on any bike and any u-lock (though you may need to customize the part)

You will need:

• 1 M4x20 machine screw
• Calipers or flexible tape measure
  • (if you use a flexible measuring tape, measure the circumference and divide by 3.14 to get the diameter)

Instructions:

1. Measure your bike frame diameter
2. Measure your lock diameter
3. Find or generate a custom mount for your bike (please comment with what frame & lock measurements worked for you and I try to add common combinations as STLs)
4. Print it out
5. Slip it over your frame
6. Screw it together
7. Enjoy hands-free lock storage

You should confirm your measurements for:

• Bike tube diameter (Usually, road bikes are 28.8mm and mountain bikes are 31.8mm or 34.9mm)
• Lock diameter
• Cable angle (if you have a brake cable you want to avoid)
• Lock/frame distance (if you need the lock to hang higher or lower)

Troubleshooting:

After tightening, if the mount still slips on the bike frame, add some electrical tape between the frame and the part. This will increase the grip and can prevent paint scratches.
