Description

ATTENTION : Version 2 now available!

I had issues with the tight bend radius causing excessive drag on the filament, so this is now redesigned to counter this.
There are now also 4 versions available:

  • Left : Filament comes in from the Left, 9,5mm bore for Bowden Fitting
  • Left Hex, with a 10mm Hex for a BTT Filament runout sensor (Example Photos show V1)
  • Right/Right Hex: same, but for Filament coming from the right. (Cover photo is “Right”)

 

In order to get my filament into my VCore 3 Enclosure i decided to use a 10mm Type Bowden Fitting to get the reverse Bowden Tube inside.

To get the Filament to the Printhead safely i designed this adapter to safely route the bowden tube upwards. This is designed to take more of those 10mm Type Bowden Fittings in order to stop the bowden Tube from moving inside the adapter (the one on the right is not strictly needed as the one on the corner bracket should restrict any bowden tube movement, but i added it anyway as you might have a different setup).

Ideally use one continuos PTFE Tube to go through the adapter, though “coupling” two PTFE Tubes inside one of the fittings works fine as well for me so far.

 

Thanks to Pinky aka St0fzuiger on the RatRig Discord we now also have a second version with the BTT Smart filament sensor mount. The BTT Smart Sensor simply gets placed on the top side (Pictures by Pinky as well). Thanks Pinky!

 

Since it's inside the enclosure i'd reccomend something like ABS, ASA, PC or something similar.
