The result was shockingly different for me!
Just poke and stir the coffee powder with this tool, until all the big lumps have vanished, and you will get a much smoother, fuller, tastier coffee. Works better with a funnel → plenty available on printables.com.
E.g. for my favourite coffee blend, the aroma shifted from very acidic to earthy, chocolatey.

to James Hoffmann, who explained his process so great I wanted to try myself, and noticed my espresso actually sucked until this point, although it was much better than most take away coffee in a travel mug. I instantly went over to my favourite CAD and threw this thing together within 10 Minutes.
