U.S. Coast Guard - Chief Petty Officers (Anchor Chevrons)

These designs were made with a flat-back surface to be wall mountable.  The height of these designs, while laying on it's back, is 8 mm with the width at 100 mm.  You can resize/rescale it for your printing pleasure.

***NOTE*** Each USCG CPO Anchor is different for mounting one or more “Chief Stars” so please be mindful on how you select and print each file.

I decided to split this rank into separate components is only one reason.  I wanted the shield and star(s) to be a silver color and the anchor to be gold.  Kinda like the actual collared version rank, right?!  By aligning the key-whole (male/female end) on the back of the shield and star, you'll be able to push it into the anchor and is self-centering thus making it a complete rank!  (See Pictures)

I Recommend using the “Z Hop - Retraction” when printing the shield.  The following settings for retractions on this design are from Ultimaker's - Cura Slicer:

Print Travel:  *Please note, the setting below may increase your print time!**

Enable Retractions:  Yes

Retract at Layer Change:  Yes

Avoid Printed Parts While Traveling:  Yes (This helps a little to avoid Stringing)

Z Hop When Retracting:  Yes

Z Hop Height:  0.2
