HAL 9000 Google Nest Thermostat

Description
HAL 9000
Now in total control of your furnace in addition to your pod-bay doors!
I adjusted the design of the Concentrix Thingiverse design to accommodate the Google Nest Thermostat. I've included all of the files, but use my ring design for the thermostat if you're doing what I did. I've also included mabbog's speaker grille for the lower part of the replica.
I used this SVG and a Cricut vinyl cutter to creat the label and cover the front of HAL.
I also designed a backing plate to mount and cover up the damage from my old thermostat.

HAL 9000 Prop Replica
By CONCENTRIX
This is a fast and cheap way to make a fairly accurate replica of the HAL 9000 computer panel from 2001: A Space Odyssey. If you like what you see and have a 3D printer, check out the "HAL 9000 Guide" in the files section! Some of the parts are not 3D printed, and there is a fair amount of finishing work to get it to look like the pictures you see. But this is a great reason to practice (or learn) some of those essential maker skills!
A huge thank you to AP 333 on the RPF whose fantastic research made this possible!

Also, you've been provided with the CAD assemblies for this project (native Fusion 360 format as well as STEP) for your remixing and modding pleasure.
If you have any feedback (like typos [I hate those things], something I left out, or a way to improve this project), please let me know! Happy building, and I look forward to seeing people's builds!
HAL 9000 Speaker Grille
By mabbog
This is a speaker grille for the HAL 9000 interface from 2001: A Space Odyssey. The dimensions come from this very meticulous thread on the Replica Prop Forum http://www.therpf.com/showthread.php?t=119324 There are some other versions of HAL on Thingverse, some have the correct hole spacing, but none so far have the surface corrugations, so I made this one. One picture shows my grille in my nearly finished HAL 9000. I also include a copy of the HAL name plate, tidied up from the RPF version. Added a picture of a good resin print I had done.
