Description
This is a remix due to the original springs of the auto-rewind spool holder of Vincent Groenhuis.
I did not want to use the original printed (PLA or PETG) spring, so I have created a modified plate to use an "elastic strap / rubber spring". The parts are quite easy to print and - for me - works really well.
I have tested a number of different rubbers with different strengths and thicknesses.
Best results I had with a 5x1 mm elastic (see fotos) that I am using. It's an elastic strap for clothes that you can find at amazon or other places for ca. 4€ for 10m.
But of course feel free to use also other elastics, it's a question of strength you need.
These parts are designed to use all the other parts of the original Auto-Rewind Spool Holder and only the SpringFlat_xxxx components are replaced.
For my usage / filament boxes I have also created a remix of the axle. I use 2 identical parts on the left and right side with a thread connection (M4 thread) in the middle.

Inside the base plate there is a possibility to fix the elastic strap and in the center you need to glue the strap to the center part where the axle will be pushed through (see fotos)
IMPORTANT:
You might get the effect of “under extrusion” in using these parts based on the strength you configure it during printing. Make sure that you adjust your extruder in giving more strength.

Dies ist ein Remix basierend auf den Auto-Rewind Spool Holder Komponenten von Vincent Groenhuis. Ich wollte die Original "Plastik" Feder bei mir nicht einsetzen und habe mir daher eine andere Variante ausgedacht.
Meine Variante nutzt ein Gummiband wie es sonst zum Nähen genutzt wird. Ich muss jedoch gestehen, dass ich eine Reihe von Gummibändern ausprobiert habe, bis ich das richtige Band mit der richtigen Stärke gefunden habe.
In diesem Fall bin ich bei einem Gummiband 5x1mm gelandet und dies funktioniert bei mir SUPER! Bekommt man bei Amazon oder sonstwo für kleines Geld.
Die Teile wurde extra so erstellt, dass sie als Austausch mit den normalen Teilen des Auto-Rewind Spool Holder funktionieren und nur die SpringFlat_xxxx Komponenten getauscht/ersetzt werden. Innerhalb der Basisplatte gibt es die Möglichkeit das Band zu fixieren und in der Mitte wird es am "center part" mit Kleber verbunden.
Optional habe ich für meine Umsetzung noch die Achse etwas modifiziert, so dass ich zwei identische Teile links und rechts einsetze und diese mit einem Gewindestück (M4) verbinde. Das gibt mehr Halt!

Ich hatte anfänglich den Effekt der “Under Extrusion” aufgrund der Stärke der Einstellungen. Das Gummi übt schon ganz schöne Kraft auf das Filament aus und “hält es zurück”. In dem Fall einfach den Extruder etwas stärker einstellen!
