Description
Filament samples are very useful, to see colour and textures. So I made swatches and something to hold them with.
This is totally inspired by nail salons and their sample colours.
You will need either OpenSCAD or Fusion 360 if you want to add text. If you don't and just want blanks I have included an STL file with no text on it.
Adding text is very easy though, for Fusion 360 just Edit the Sample Sketch, double click on the top text and change it, do the same for the bottom, and then export an STL file for your favourite slicer.
For OpenSCAD, open the file in the editor and change material/brand/colour variables. When you are happy with it, uncomment out lines 4-6 and render (F6) and export. (Super special thanks to Andy Stanford-Clark for his help and support in making and testing this)
I like to include the material type, colour (abbreviate it if it's too long) and brand. :)
Each nut and bolt will hold 10 samples.
Ensure the nut and bolt are oriented as in the example slicer screenshot, then you won't need any supports.
