Description

The goal was to come up with a storage solution for the remote control(s). Let's think outside  the box...

I always tend to keep the remote(s) as close to me as possible. So on the couch. Placing a remote in a holder requires me to move from my seat, and I'm often just too lazy for that... Sometimes the remote(s) disappear in the edge between the seat and the backrest of the sofa. Usually this is a space that is freely accessible and where many other things magically disappear....

So I thought, why not put this space to good use and create a kind of hideout for those remotes?

The model is slightly curved to follow the seat of the sofa. The height of the opening is usually sufficient for a general thickness of remotes. The length can be easily adjusted by scaling in the slicer.

By matching the color of printing to the color of the seat of the sofa, this "secret" storage place is even less noticeable...

tip: make the inner length about 1.5-2 cm longer than your longest remote(s), then you can pop them out more easily.

p.s. To shorten the printing time with the 1st print, I had set the layer thickness to 0.3mm and printed at high speed. However, this gives a very rough image in the photo. With smaller layer thicknesses and normal speed it will certainly look better...
