Description

This template has been published with a standard 96mm (3 ¾") spacing for handle holes, positioned 45mm from top and sides of the cupboard face.   It incorporates a notch to indicate centre as a simple check.

NOTE - this file is designed for a right hand cupboard door only - to make a template for the opposite door, simply mirror it in your slicer.  In PrusaSlicer right-click on the model and select “Mirror”(along Y axis if you have not relocated the model on the build plate).

Simply locate the template on the top and side of the cupboard face and drill the holes perfectly located to suit your cupboard handles.  PLEASE do drill a test on a piece of scrap first to ensure everything is where it's supposed to be!

To customise the template to suit your own project you will have to open a free Onshape account and follow the instructions below. (You'll find the link to the file beneath the model files on the download page).

You will find the parametric parameters on the top left side of the Onshape page marked with an (x).

Click on each item to change the dimension as required.

To clarify which dimensions are which, refer to the photograph below:

A

‘A’ = #Top_Offset

‘B’ = #Handle_Centres

‘C’ = #Side_Offset

Set the drill diameter to allow a little “wiggle room”.

When the drawing is ready to download, right-click on the object title on the bottom left hand side of the page and “export” the model.

If you are a concerned about the above process, I would strongly suggest checking out @teachingtech's overview and basic tutorials at this link .
