Description

Protusion from original Voron 0 spool holder is getting in the way?
Too much work to remove it and leave 1 nut hanging loose inside the frame?

Then you'll need this Voron 0 Foldable Spool Holder!

Features

  • Keeping the dimension & look of original spool holder as much as possible.
(This means you can re-use the PTFE tube from the original spool holder)
  • Foldable, reducing the overall dimension of Voron 0 for easy storing / traveling.
  • Compatible with any acrylic panel thickness less than 3 mm.
  • Easy 2-part assembly.

Assembly Instruction

Print Instruction:

  • Support (Touching BuildPlate) may be required for “Connector_V0”.
    No support required for “Holder_V0”.
  • Recommended to print in default orientation.
  • Recommended print setting:
    • ABS / PETG
    • 40% Infill
    • Wall Count: 3
    • Top / Bottom Layer: Minimum 4

Parts Required:

  • M3 x 35 SHCS / BHCS Screw x 1
  • M3 x 10 SHCS / BHCS Screw x 1
  • PTFE Tube x 2 (tubes from original spool holder is usable)
  • [Printed Part] Connector_V0 x 1
  • [Printed Part] Holder_V0 x 1

Assembly:

  • Remove the original spool holder. You can keep the original M3 x 12 screw, it will not be used in this assembly.
  • Secure the “Connector_V0” onto the frame using M3 x 10.
Note: Make sure that the fillet (rounded edge) is facing the acrylic!
  • Insert PTFE tube x2 into “Holder_V0”.
  • Place “Holder_V0” towards the “Connector_V0”. Then, use M3 x 35 as a shaft to connect the 2 parts. Do not overtighten the screw!
Note: Make sure the fillet (rounded edge) of “Holder_V0” is facing acrylic too.
Note: Make sure the countersunk on “Holder_V0” is facing upwards.
  • Finally, tighten the M3 x 35 screw slightly until the folding operation of the spool holder will hold itself by slight friction (so it won't swing free and slaps around when carrying you printer!)
Note: Seriously, don't overtighten the screw. It may not able to fold.
  • Enjoy!

Note: Made to support Voron 0.1, however should be able to support voron 0.2 as well.
