Description
The Filament Dryer Adapter, a complete redesign of the original by @Haprog, was created in OnShape and subsequently modified for the Gorenje FDK500GCW dryer. This adapter is compatible with all Gorenje dryers featuring a 310 mm tray diameter. I slightly increased the clearance in the locks to 0.25 mm.
The dryer manufacturer states a maximum temperature of 70 °C, but I measured a maximum of 62 °C. For this reason, it's unnecessary to print the adapter from materials like CPE, ABS, ASA, etc. I chose PETG and, to be safe, verified its durability by submerging it in water heated to 67 °C (model “Testing Wall 40x40”).
Even though I've slightly increased the original clearance in the locks to ensure the adapter remains functional even when printed on less precise printers, please consider printing a test model "Locks test" first. This will allow you to verify functionality without potential material waste.
