Description

Until now I've used rubber bands and zip ties to stop my tools springing open when I least expect it, but now I have these!

Printed simply in PLA (or anything you have to hand) I used 0.2mm layers and 0,4mm nozzle but there's absolutely no reason to copy that. USE A BRIM though - because there's not much material in contact with the bed.

Because every tool is different, every dimension is customisable, although I suggest changing the #Radius value first if you are going to make something which is narrower than the twice the existing value.

To make your own custom item -

Measure your tool handle (or blade)

Log in to Onshape (an account is free and I've never received any annoying ads or emails).

Find the parameters outlined in the sketch below, and change them to suit your own dimensions.

The link to the onshape document can be found in the PDF titled “PARAMETRIC SOURCE FILE” on the “download” page.
