Quick release/Cover for Silver PSU on Original Prusa Enclosure

Description

For those who want to use a quick release with the silver power supply on the original Prusa Enclosure i share my info and sources.

Additionally I have designed a cover for the silver power supply. However, this can only be screwed after the PSU is attached to the housing, but that should not matter that much if your using the mod :-)

Material

The plugs that are used are from AMP i found a shop where you can buy them in Germany i am sure you can get them on many other shops.

You need this parts: 

• 1 plug female
• 1 plug male
• 6 socket contacts
• 6 pin contacts

I used a crimping pliers for AWG 48-62 to assemble the connectors but its also possible to solder them.

The cable diameter is 1.5mm2. For the silver power supply, the power cables must be about 15 cm long and the cable for powerpanik about 20cm each including plug. The power cables from the printer to the plug must be about 40cm the Powepanik  45cm long.
