Description
This is a Router Insert Plate I made for my Dexter Router with a simple lift and lock mechanism.
I printed the board in carbon PLA because I needed it to be quite rigid and not flex.
I created two slots to insert two steel profiles 20mm wide and 4mm heigh to give more rigidity but I don't think it was necessary because with the carbon PLA it was quite stiff.
All remaining parts were printed on PETG.
Some parts need support.
The lifting mechanism must be printed lying on the bed to ensure greater strength of the piece.
Multiple hardware is required.
I used 4 M4 countersink screws to secure the router to the board.
4 M6x25mm coutersink screws to secure the plate to the plate levelers.
8 M6x20mm headless screws to level the board
1 M8x150mm screw for the lift mechanism
1 M8x70mm screw for the locking mechanism
1 M6x25mm screw for the locking bracket
4 M6x25 countersink screws for the locking mechanism and the steel cable support.
1 steel cable and steel cable locks
