Description
I realized yesterday that the 12" calipers I recently purchased are pretty much perfectly sized to fit between the legs of an Ikea Lack table. These tables really are extremely convenient.
The dimensions of my caliper's storage case is roughly 17" x 5 ¼" x 2 ¼". Horizontally, it looks like there's about 1/8" of clearance.
You'll need six screws to mount these to the legs of the Lack table. The legs of the table are hollow, so it is important that you use screws where the thread goes all the way to the head, or use an anchor. I used #9 sheetrock screws, they snugged up tight, and there doesn't seem to be any play. If there's any issue in the future, I'll likely switch to screws with anchors and would expect that to be the end of it.
